is a Certified Lay Speaker through the Virginia Annual Conference of
the United Methodist Church, a recent graduate of Baptist Theological
Seminary's Certificate program in Congregational Leadership. She is a columnist Examiner.com and at for the blog, Life Coaching for Christian Women as well as a member
of Richmond Christians Who Write, James River Writers, Story Circle Network and Christian Women Take Root.

Mary and her husband of 30+ years have a college age son, a daughter and son-in-law who met while attending George Mason University and two slightly neurotic dogs. She is a voracious reader and a prolific writer and poet.
